Thunder Bay, ON — May 3, 2025
A 25-year-old Thunder Bay man is facing 16 serious criminal charges following carjacking, and a high-risk armed robbery involving a stolen vehicle on Memorial Avenue earlier this year.
According to Thunder Bay Police (OPP), the incident occurred on February 19 around 5:45 a.m. The suspect allegedly approached a vehicle, threatened its occupants with a firearm, and fled the scene in the stolen car.
Officers later located the vehicle but did not pursue it due to safety concerns.

The suspect was arrested on Thursday after an ongoing investigation led to his identification. He appeared in court Friday and remains in custody.
